News Synopsis

Netflix has teamed up with Yash Raj Films (YRF), one of India’s most iconic film studios, to bring a treasure trove of Bollywood classics to audiences around the globe. The collaboration aims to celebrate YRF’s cinematic legacy spanning over five decades by streaming its most beloved titles in more than 190 countries.

This partnership promises to offer fans timeless hits and legendary performances from actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Ranveer Singh — all perfectly timed with major milestones and festivals for audiences to relive Bollywood’s golden moments.

Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th Birthday Celebration: A Treat for Fans

To mark superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday, Netflix is releasing nine of his most iconic YRF films, beginning November 2, 2025. The line-up includes some of Bollywood’s most celebrated titles such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ), Mohabbatein, Dil To Pagal Hai, Veer-Zaara, and Chak De! India.

This collection represents SRK’s diverse journey — from a romantic hero to a national icon — and allows global audiences to experience the emotional depth and cinematic magic that have defined his career for over three decades.

Salman Khan Blockbusters to Follow in December

Next in the line-up is another Bollywood megastar — Salman Khan. Starting December 27, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, Netflix will release three of his biggest YRF hits: Ek Tha Tiger, Sultan, and Tiger Zinda Hai.

These films not only highlight Salman’s mass appeal but also showcase YRF’s dominance in creating large-scale action spectacles that have defined Indian cinema’s blockbuster era.

A Journey Through YRF Classics: From ‘Chandni’ to ‘Silsila’

From November 14, audiences can dive into a nostalgic journey through some of Yash Raj Films’ most loved classics, including Chandni, Kabhi Kabhie, Vijay, Lamhe, and Silsila.

These films capture the essence of old-world romance and timeless storytelling, reflecting YRF’s unmatched contribution to shaping the emotional core of Bollywood cinema.

Ranveer Singh’s Hits Join the Line-up in December

The celebration continues with a collection of Ranveer Singh’s early hits streaming from December 5. Titles such as Band Baaja Baaraat, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, Kill Dil, Befikre, and Gunday will be available for fans to revisit the actor’s energetic and charming performances that helped redefine the new-age YRF hero.

Festive Season Marathon: 34 More Films to Stream in December

Netflix and YRF are turning December into a Bollywood festival month. Between December 12 and 28, 34 additional YRF films will be released — with two titles premiering daily.

The line-up includes audience favourites like Bunty Aur Babli, Hum Tum, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, Mujhse Dosti Karoge, and Ta Ra Rum Pum, offering families and movie lovers the perfect entertainment for the festive season.

Extending the Celebration into 2026

The collaboration doesn’t stop in 2025. The streaming celebration will roll into 2026, starting with the high-octane Dhoom trilogy arriving on November 28, followed by the intense Mardaani series launching on January 22.

In February 2026, a special Valentine’s Week collection featuring romantic classics like Saathiya, Ishaqzaade, Bachna Ae Haseeno, and Salaam Namaste will debut on February 7, capturing the season of love with timeless Bollywood storytelling.

YRF’s Legacy Meets Netflix’s Global Reach

Commenting on the partnership, Akshaye Widhani, CEO of Yash Raj Films, said that the studio has been instrumental in shaping Indian cinema for over 50 years. “Bringing this remarkable cinematic legacy to Netflix allows the world to experience the colour, the music, and the magic of India and Indian cinema that YRF has always celebrated,” he shared.

Monika Shergill, Vice President of Content at Netflix India, called the collaboration a milestone for Indian cinema on Netflix, stating that it continues the journey that began with The Romantics — a docuseries exploring YRF’s influence on Bollywood.

Through this collaboration, Netflix strengthens its commitment to showcasing Indian storytelling and its emotional depth to a global audience.

Conclusion: A New Era for Bollywood on Streaming Platforms

The partnership between Netflix and YRF represents more than just a content deal — it’s a celebration of India’s cinematic history and its growing global influence. By bringing these timeless classics and modern blockbusters to international audiences, the collaboration bridges generations and cultures, reaffirming Bollywood’s universal appeal.

As Netflix rolls out this spectacular line-up through 2025 and 2026, film lovers worldwide can look forward to a cinematic journey through decades of unforgettable storytelling, music, and emotion.
