News Synopsis

TVS Motor Company has announced strong sales performance for October 2025, marking an 11% year-on-year growth. The company’s consistent demand across motorcycles, scooters, and electric vehicles, coupled with a strong export performance, highlights the continued strength of India’s two-wheeler market during the festive season.

TVS Motor Company Overall Sales Performance

In October 2025, TVS Motor Company recorded total sales of 5,43,557 units, compared to 4,89,015 units sold in October 2024. This translates to an impressive 11% overall growth, showcasing the company’s steady momentum in both domestic and international markets.

The automaker credited the growth to sustained retail demand and its diverse product range, spanning internal combustion engine (ICE) models and electric vehicles (EVs).

Two-Wheeler Segment Sees Solid Growth

The two-wheeler category, which forms the backbone of TVS’s portfolio, posted a 10% rise, with 5,25,150 units sold in October 2025, up from 4,78,159 units in the same month last year.

Within this segment, the domestic two-wheeler sales climbed 8%, reaching 4,21,631 units as against 3,90,489 units in October 2024. This strong domestic performance was driven by festive season demand and new product launches catering to urban and rural customers alike.

Motorcycle Sales Lead the Charge

Motorcycles continued to be a major growth driver for TVS Motor. The company reported 16% year-on-year growth in motorcycle sales, touching 2,66,715 units in October 2025 compared to 2,30,822 units a year earlier.

The rise in motorcycle demand underscores the growing preference for fuel-efficient and performance-oriented bikes among Indian consumers. TVS’s strong lineup — including popular models like the Apache RTR series and Raider — has helped the brand strengthen its foothold in the competitive motorcycle market.

Scooter Segment Maintains Steady Momentum

TVS scooters also performed well, with 7% growth in October 2025. Sales increased to 2,05,919 units, up from 1,93,439 units in October 2024.

The scooter segment’s continued rise reflects increasing urban mobility needs and the popularity of models like TVS Jupiter, NTorq, and iQube Electric, which have carved a strong space in the Indian commuter market.

Electric Vehicle Sales Gain Traction

TVS Motor’s push into the EV space continues to yield results. The company sold 32,387 electric vehicles (EVs) in October 2025, registering an 11% growth from 29,308 units sold in October 2024.

The consistent rise in EV sales signals a growing acceptance of electric mobility among Indian consumers. The TVS iQube Electric remains one of the leading electric scooters in India, with expanding availability across cities contributing to this momentum.

Exports Deliver Impressive Growth

International business has been another bright spot for TVS Motor. The company recorded a 21% increase in exports, selling 1,15,806 units in October 2025 compared to 95,708 units a year earlier.

This surge highlights TVS’s strong global presence across Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia, where demand for affordable and durable two-wheelers remains robust.

Three-Wheeler Sales Surge by 70%

Another noteworthy performance came from TVS’s three-wheeler segment, which grew 70% year-on-year. The company sold 18,407 units in October 2025, a sharp increase from 10,856 units in October 2024.

This growth was driven by rising demand for commercial and passenger applications, as well as economic recovery in key export markets.

Operational Challenges

Despite the strong performance, TVS Motor acknowledged some supply chain constraints, particularly in magnet availability, which may pose short- to medium-term challenges. However, the company remains optimistic about sustaining growth momentum in the coming months.

Conclusion

TVS Motor’s performance in October 2025 reaffirms its strong position in India’s two-wheeler and three-wheeler markets. With robust growth across all segments — motorcycles, scooters, EVs, and exports — the company continues to build on its reputation for innovation and reliability. As the festive season drives demand further, TVS Motor is well-positioned for continued success heading into the next quarter.
